{"id":2507,"date":"2010-09-19T15:55:09","date_gmt":"2010-09-19T14:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bookleteer.com\/blog\/?p=2507"},"modified":"2010-09-19T15:55:09","modified_gmt":"2010-09-19T14:55:09","slug":"diffusion-10-years-old","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bookleteer.net\/blog\/2010\/09\/diffusion-10-years-old\/","title":{"rendered":"Diffusion \u2013 10 years old"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ten years ago this month, in September 2000, Proboscis published the first series of Diffusion eBooks \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/diffusion.org.uk\/?cat=17\" target=\"_blank\">Performance Notations<\/a> \u2013 initiating the start of the journey that has brought us to <a href=\"http:\/\/bookleteer.com\">bookleteer.com<\/a>. It was the culmination of ideas and designs about the future of publishing that themselves began back in early 1999 and were informed by 5 years of publishing traditional books and my experiences working in an interaction design research group (CRD Research) at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rca.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Royal College of Art<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve written a post over on <a href=\"http:\/\/diffusion.org.uk\/?p=2152\" target=\"_blank\">diffusion.org.uk<\/a> recapping on the past decade and looking forward to what we&#8217;re planning to start the next one, specifically a series of events called &#8216;<em>Pitch In &#038; Publish<\/em>&#8216; which will be the vehicle for publishing new series of collaboratively-produced Diffusion eBooks &#038; StoryCubes. Its a twist on our &#8216;<em>Pitch Up &#038; Publish<\/em>&#8216; events which were designed to introduce people to using bookleteer itself, getting them familiar with using it for themselves and their own projects.
