{"id":5925,"date":"2012-06-13T11:37:47","date_gmt":"2012-06-13T10:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bookleteer.com\/blog\/?p=5925"},"modified":"2016-09-08T17:18:14","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T16:18:14","slug":"city-as-material-x-the-haunter-tuesday-19th-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bookleteer.net\/blog\/2012\/06\/city-as-material-x-the-haunter-tuesday-19th-june\/","title":{"rendered":"City as Material x The Haunter \u2013 Tuesday 19th June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For our next <a href=\"http:\/\/proboscis.org.uk\/projects\/ongoing\/city-as-material\/\" target=\"_blank\">City As Material<\/a> venture, we will be working with <a href=\"http:\/\/timwright.typepad.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Wright<\/a> on his new digital public art project <a href=\"http:\/\/timwright.typepad.com\/main\/2011\/03\/the-haunter.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Haunter<\/a>, inspired by Thomas Hardy\u2019s \u2018Poems of 1912\/13&#8242;, enacted 100 years after Hardy wrote his famous sequence of verses mourning the death of his first wife, Emma.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will embark on walks along a specific route with a crafted wooden box, embedded with smart technology, &#8216;haunted&#8217; by the legacy of Hardy&#8217;s poems.
